Sumedang Coffee And Tofu Festival Held At Thamrin 10, Anies: Community Economy Rises

JAKARTA - The Sumedang Coffee and Tofu Festival takes place at the culinary center Thamrin 10 on Jalan MH Thamrin, Central Jakarta.

"A joint work that has become an action and activity, starting from rice production for Jakarta and now the results of the Sumedang MSMEs are exhibited and marketed in Jakarta, in the center of the economy so that people can benefit from these products," Anies said as quoted by Antara.

Anies appreciated the good cooperation between the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) and the Regional Government (Pemda)

Sumedang. Both have signed a cooperation agreement and are actively working on every point of the cooperation agreement.

According to Anies, Thamrin 10 on Jalan MH Thamrin, Central Jakarta, has become a showcase for MSMEs, culinary and handicraft products, which are usually enjoyed by Jakarta residents until the evening before the COVID-19 pandemic.

In fact, economic turnover and transactions at one of these culinary centers can reach IDR 180 million per day.

With the COVID-19 case under control, Anies hopes that Jakarta will play a role in revitalizing the business and economy of MSME players who were previously heavily affected by the pandemic.

"When there are more transactions in Jakarta, it will have an effect on producing areas, so that the economic turnaround is much faster," said Anies.

There is also the Sumedang Coffee and Tofu Festival which displays various products of the Sumedang Regency MSMEs, including coffee, Kasumedangan Batik, processed foods, crafts and carvings.
