Closing The Annual Session Speech With Pantun, Bamsoet: Together We Face The Pandemic

JAKARTA - After opening a speech with two short verse rhymes, the Chairman of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly Bambang Soesatyo closed his speech at the MPR RI Annual Session with three short rhymes. "Let us end this introduction to the MPR Annual Session with rhymes," said Bamsoet when he was about to end his speech at the Session. The annual MPR RI which was held at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Central Jakarta, Friday, August 14th. The three poems read by Bamsoet were inseparable from the situation and condition of Indonesia which is currently experiencing the COVID-19 pandemic. The three rhymes are as follows: Let love grow As beautiful as pearls of word strands Together we face the pandemic Unite steps to reach our dreams Spread of star clusters in the clouds Delivering the night in a cradle The pandemic period is a test Let's unite in line Wash hands clean Enough and thank you After Bamsoet read the rhyme The invitees then clapped their hands. Before closing his speech, Bamsoet conveyed a number of things. Among them is the formation of the MPR Review Board to discuss actual issues in society such as the Pancasila ideology to the Omnibus Law. To support this team, the MPR has also formed a State Administration Studies Commission with a total of 45 people consisting of experts, experts and practitioners with expertise in the field. "Of course the results of the study will later become the MPR's recommendation to be submitted to other state institutions, as a material for consideration to be followed up in accordance with their authority," said Bamsoet.
