DKI Task Force Team Assists In Evacuating Property Of Victims Of The Semeru Eruption

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Disaster Response Collaborative Task Force Team assisted in the transportation and evacuation of goods belonging to residents of the victims of the Mount Semeru eruption, in Lumajang, East Java.

The Head of the Public Protection Division of the DKI Jakarta Satpol PP, Atok Baroni Hidayat, said that currently the situation on the ground is still dangerous for residents to live in because it is not yet conducive.

Therefore, the Task Force helped evacuate residents, along with items that could still be salvaged from their homes to temporary shelters.

"The Jakarta Task Force as volunteers, we will do whatever form of activity. The task force comrades swiftly complete what the residents want. Residents and their goods will be delivered to their destination," said Atok, quoted by Antara, Thursday, December 9.

In addition to helping with the evacuation, the DKI Task Force team also provided logistical assistance for residents to be able to use while in refugee camps.

One of the residents of Kajar Kuning Hamlet, Sumberwuluh Village, Dina (22) said she was relieved when the DKI Jakarta aid truck arrived to evacuate goods and furniture from her house.

Sumberwuluh Village is one of the places that was severely affected after being hit by hot clouds from avalanches and lava floods from Mount Semeru. As a result, the location is difficult to access by aid trucks.

"I want to leave my things at my grandmother's house in Penanggal Village. Now it's emptied, I'm still traumatized by this incident. Thank you very much for helping. I've been waiting for the aid truck to arrive, because there's a queue. Luckily there's a truck from DKI here," he said. he.

Dina admitted that it was hard to leave her house which was just built a year ago because of her hard work.

However, he was forced to choose to be evacuated for the safety of his family members.
