CENTRAL LOMBOK - The District Attorney (Kejari) of Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) has finally raised the status of alleged corruption in the Awang Health Center project, Mertak Village, Pujut District from investigation to investigation.

"We are continuing the investigation into the alleged corruption case in the construction of the Awang Health Center," said Head of the Central Lombok District Attorney's Office, Fadil Regan, in Praya, quoted by Antara, Thursday, December 9.

He said the prosecutor had found irregularities in the project whose budget was from the Special Allocation Fund (DAK) and was carried out in 2020.

With the progress of the stages in the case, it is certain that the case will continue and even if there is a return, it will be confiscated as evidence when the trial is carried out later.

"Indications of state losses reached Rp. 1 billion from the results of the investigation and involving a team of experts," continued Fadil.

Before the case went to investigation, at the investigation stage, his party had clarified about 20 witnesses for questioning. It will again call witnesses to be questioned as witnesses.

"We have raised this case to a new investigation for two days, so we are planning to examine witnesses in the near future," said Fadil.

The Awang Health Center project, which cost Rp. 7 billion, is suspected to have been carried out not according to specifications and lacked volume. As a result, the project failed in its construction which caused state losses to approach Rp. 1 billion.

"On the one hand, the puskesmas is indeed not occupied until now. We are still investigating this case and the project has been handed over," he explained.

As is known in 2020, the Central Lombok Regency Government built six puskesmas, namely the Mantang, Janapria, Mangkung, Bagu Health Centers, Ubung Health Centers and Awang Health Centers.

The budget for the construction of the puskesmas each cost Rp 7 billion, which is intended so that in the future health facilities and services for the community can be maximized.
