Task Force Says COVID-19 Cases In Kupang Tend To Increase, Today Added 4 Cases

KUPANG - The Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19 noted that there were four additional positive COVID-19 patients in Kupang City, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province. With this addition, the total number of positive COVID-19 cases is 15,506 people.

"Based on data received from the Kupang City Health Office, there were four additional COVID-19 patients," said spokesman for the Kupang City COVID-19 Task Force, Ernest Ludhi in Kupang, Antara, Thursday, December 9.

Ernest reminded the residents of Kupang City to always be aware of the potential for transmission of COVID-19 cases because since the end of November 2021, the addition of positive cases in the city of Kupang tends to increase.

He said that currently there are 46 COVID-19 patients in Kupang City who are still undergoing treatment (active cases). The details, 17 men and 29 women. There are 36 COVID-19 patients who are self-isolating and 10 are hospitalized.

He said the 46 patients were residents of the Alak sub-district, three people, Kelapa Lima sub-district four, Kota Lama sub-district six and Kota Raja sub-district seven.

Meanwhile, the two sub-districts with the highest number of active COVID-19 patients, Maulafa and Oebobo sub-districts each had 13 positive cases of COVID-19.

In addition, he said, the number of patients who have recovered from infection with the COVID-19 virus in Kupang City has so far reached 15,127 people. "Covid-19 patients who died in Kupang City during the pandemic were 333 people," said Ernest Ludji.

Ernest appealed to the residents of Kupang City not to be careless and to always apply health protocols during their activities to avoid exposure to COVID-19.
