Meanwhile, the Coordinator for Biological Diversity Conservation Affairs of the West Sumatra BKSDA, drh Windarti, added that the West Sumatra BKSDA had received two reports of wild boars dying suddenly since 2020.
The first report stated that there were around 80 pig deaths in West Pasaman in 2020 and around 50 in Agam in 2021.
"We received two reports of sudden pig deaths and did not rule out the possibility of another pig death, but it was not reported by residents," he said.
The Head of the Animal Health and Veterinary Public Health Division of the Agam Agriculture Service, Farid Muslim, appealed to residents to immediately report the death of the pig, so that body organ samples could be taken.
