JAKARTA - West Jakarta Metro Police investigators installed a yellow police line at the location of the fire on Jalan Tambora 1, RT 10/02, Tambora, West Jakarta, to facilitate the investigation process. "Currently, the police line has carried out the house (which caught fire) to wait for the forensic laboratory results to check the location of the incident related to the cause of the fire," said West Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Pol Ady Wibowo to reporters, Wednesday, December 8. From the results of the crime scene (TKP) conducted by the Tambora Police, it was found that the victim was on the top floor of his house.

"According to the preliminary results of the crime scene, it was a two-story permanent house inhabited by six people," he said. The police chief said that the last check he did was that five people died due to fire. "According to information, the five people were on the 2nd floor. Then one person who turned out to be an old man lived downstairs. Those who are currently safe, managed to escape from the fire," he said. Previously, it was reported that the Tambora Police Chief Kompol Faruk Rozi visited the location of the fire that killed five residents in a densely populated settlement on Jalan Tambora 1, RT 10/02, Tambora Village, Tambora District, West Jakarta. "To confirm (the identity of the victim) we need the identification results from the forensics," said the police chief to reporters, Wednesday, December 8. According to him, the condition of the victim's body is difficult to identify due to burns, so identification is necessary. "Based on the results of the evacuation earlier, indeed all were in a state of full burn and could not be recognized," he said.
