JAKARTA - Candidate for Deputy Mayor of Medan, Aulia Rachman highlighted the fate of online motorcycle taxis (ojol) and traders in Medan. Aulia pushed for special regulations for ojol and traders to continue to play a role in growing the economy of Medan City.

"There are many things that we want to make a special breakthrough. For ojol, there must be rules so that they are not unilaterally decided by the operator. In fact, ojol has become a COVID-19 fighter because it helps the economy improve through the large number of food orders that have increased during the pandemic, ”said Aulia when contacted by VOI, Thursday, August 13.

Aulia admitted that she was sad to see the fate of ojol in Medan. Moreover, ojol in Medan has demonstrated several times related to welfare.

Meanwhile, about traders in Medan, Aulia highlighted the arrangement. It is suspected that there is an unscrupulous game related to the number of traders selling outside the market.

According to him, the price of stalls in the market is set too high, even though the conditions of the stalls are not suitable for selling. This condition must be addressed.

"In the future, we will pay attention to those below. So do not become false hopes, we don't want to be like that. We must wake up and commit what we say we carry out, "he said.

The push for regulation and arrangement of traders in Medan City is called Aulia to be a concept from New Medan that was carried with the candidate for mayor Bobby Nasution. New Medan emphasized Aulia that it must be realized by structuring and developing Medan City by involving the participation of all elements including the community.

"The key is in the data collection system, which must be connected to Dukcapil and other agencies. We cleared this from the system and structure below so that the programs carried out were right on target, "he said.
