West Java Distributes Social Assistance For 70,664 Beneficiary Groups Affected By PPKM

BANDUNG - The West Java Social Service distributed cash social assistance to 70,664 beneficiary groups, namely communities affected by the Level 3, Level 2, and Level 1 Community Activity Restrictions in Java-Bali in that area.

"The distribution of the social assistance cash itself aims to ease the burden on the community and be able to re-start the wheels of the economy, so as to maintain regional economic stability and minimize social risks to the community," said West Java Social Service Head Dodo Suhendar in Bandung, quoted by Antara, Monday, December 6.

There are also details of 70,664 Beneficiary Groups (KPM), as many as 9,990 KPM are micro business actors, 48,383 tourism, cultural arts, and creative economy business actors, 11,208 people's market traders, and 1,083 Social Welfare Institutions.

The distribution of cash social assistance is based on the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs No. 57 of 2021, the Regulation of the Governor of West Java No. 48 of 2021, and the Decree of the Governor of West Java No. 978/Kep.659-BKD/2021.

The amount of the social assistance is Rp. 1 million for micro-enterprises, Rp. 300,000 for tourism, arts and culture, and creative economy actors, Rp. 250,000 for people's market traders, and Rp. 3 million for Social Welfare Institutions.

"The distribution of cash social assistance will take place from November 30 to December 11, 2021 through the Social Fund Transfer (SFT) method of the PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Province of West Java and Banten Tbk," said Dodo.

Locations for the distribution of social assistance at branch offices and sub-branch offices of BJB BJB for micro-enterprises, tourism businesses, arts and culture, creative economy, and people's market traders.

Distribution to Social Welfare Institutions at district/city Social Service Offices and BJB Branch Offices.
