JAKARTA - The National Police responded to the emergence of the hashtags #PercumaLaporPolis and #1Hari1Oknum which went viral on social media. The hashtag was considered constructive criticism.

"All suggestions, inputs and criticisms from the entire community are part of the evaluation that we will continue to do," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo to reporters, Monday, December 6.

Dedi stated that before the hashtag appeared, the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo was committed to taking firm action against his members who were involved in criminal acts. That commitment is to build a better Polri institution.

"What is clear is that the leader of the National Police in accordance with the direction of the Head of the National Police during the Kasatwil Appointment for the leadership of the National Police in the region must not hesitate to take firm action against members who are proven guilty," said Dedi.

The Police expressed their gratitude to the public for the emergence of the hashtag. This is because the community has become the supervisor of the performance of the Police.
