Allegedly An Electric Short Circuit, The Samsung Service Center Shophouse In Daan Mogot Caught Fire

JAKARTA - A fire occurred at Ruko Imperial Block C12-15 on Jalan Raya Daan Mogot, No KM 17, RT 2/4, Kalideres District, West Jakarta.

A total of five units of fire engines from the West Jakarta City Administration Fire and Rescue Agency were deployed. The fire was extinguished by 25 Gulkarmat officers.

Head of the Operational Section (Kasiop) of the West Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-dept., Suket Bahanan, said that the object that caught fire was the shophouse of the Samsung Service Center.

"It is suspected that there was an electrical short from an air conditioner," said Suket when contacted by VOI, Sunday, December 5. As a result of the fire, the loss was estimated at Rp 500 million. However, it has not been reported whether there were any casualties in the accident.

"The object that burned is 80 square meters on the ground floor which is being renovated from the 4-floor Samsung Service Center shophouse," he said.
