Sleeping, Village Fund DPO In Katingan Arrested By Central Kalimantan Prosecutor

KAPUAS - The Intelligence Sowing Team of the Central Kalimantan Province High Prosecutor's Office (Kalteng Prosecutor's Office) together with the Head of Special Investigation Unit of the Prosecutor's Office of Katingan Regency arrested a wanted list of people (DPO) with the initials WS (42).

WS was arrested in the Hamlet of Menuluh, Lahei Village, Menntangai District, Kapuas Regency, Friday, December 3 at around 22.15 WIB.

"The DPO with the initials WS was secured while sleeping with his family in that place," said Central Kalimantan Chief Justice Iman Wijaya, represented by the Head of the Penkum Kejati Central Kalimantan, Dodik Mahendra, in Palangka Raya, Sunday, December 5.

Dodik said the suspect WS was arrested by the Central Kalimantan Prosecutor's Office Sow Team led by Kasi E for the Intelligence Division of the Central Kalimantan Prosecutor's Office. WS was immediately taken to Palangka Raya and arrived at the Central Kalimantan Prosecutor's Office at around 23.50 WIB to undergo an examination in the Special Service Room. Previously, an antigen swab was carried out against the suspect and the result was negative for COVID-19. He explained that in April 2021, WS was named a suspect in the alleged corruption case (tipikor) of misappropriating the village income and expenditure budget for the 2019 fiscal year with state losses reaching Rp1.1 billion. .

"WS fled after being named a suspect," said Dodik.

In the corruption case, the Kejari Katingan has also named two other suspects, namely HMD, the Head of Finance and DAM as a village assistant with a duty location in the Kamipang District, Katingan who is currently on trial with an agenda for reading charges.

"It is planned that the suspect WS will be taken to the Katingan Detention Center by the Katingan Prosecutor's Investigation Team," said Dodik.
