JAKARTA - Emergency handling after the eruption of Mount Semeru is still being carried out by various parties, one of which is evacuation and community service for refugees.

Tonight BNPB sent a rapid reaction team (TRC) to provide assistance in handling emergencies. BNPB also sent logistical assistance which was sent today, along with the TRC and representatives of ministries and agencies.

“Tonight we sent TRC to assist local governments. The team will depart by land and bring logistical assistance, such as blankets, ready-to-eat meals, tarpaulins, emergency tents, mattresses, and other basic logistics," said Head of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) Lt. Gen. Suharyanto in a written statement, Saturday, December 4.

The head of BNPB will head to Lumajang Regency to ensure quick and appropriate handling of disaster emergencies, particularly the evacuation and handling of injured victims.
