Head Of Cigombong Village Examined By Bogor Police Regarding Cases Of Alleged Land Grabbing

JAKARTA - The Bogor Police Criminal Investigation Unit questioned one of the village heads (kades) in Cigombong, Bogor Regency, West Java regarding allegations of land grabbing.

The head of Tugujaya Village, Muhamad Rifky Abdillah, was questioned on Friday afternoon over a report regarding the sale and purchase of 1.9 thousand square meters of arable land in his area.

"I was only asked for information regarding the history of the land," said Rifki quoting Antara, Saturday, December 4.

The case began in June 2021 when a resident named Hendro Soebianto reported Rifki to the Bogor Resort Police, because he was considered to be involved in the sale and purchase of arable land covering an area of 1.9 thousand square meters out of a total of 4.9 hectares controlled by Hendro on the basis of a transfer certificate.

Hendro reported it to the police because the land he had bought since 1990 in Neglasari Village, RT 04/04, was sold by his former subordinates with the assistance of the Head of Village Rifki in the form of issuing a non-dispute certificate.

In addition to reporting his involvement in the sale and purchase of arable land, Hendro also reported to Kades Rifki for allegedly destroying the fence that was the barrier to his arable land in Neglasari Village.

"In addition, we also submitted a report to the Inspectorate on June 29, 2021, and I deeply regret the action taken by the Tugujaya Village Head," said Hendro.

The complainant's attorney, Dodi Herman Fartodi, at the same place asked the police to enforce the applicable rules, with the hope that nothing like this would happen in the future.

"We hope that this incident can be resolved, because from the beginning there was a good will, but the village head did not cooperate and cooperated with the land mafia," said Dodi.
