South Jakarta Police Chief Describes The Post-Fire Situation At Cyber I Mampang Building

JAKARTA - South Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Pol Azis Andriansyah said the object that caught fire in Cyber 1 Building was a panel or a series of cables.

"For the building, the room didn't catch fire, but the panels and wires were burnt and there was rubber skin, causing smoke," he told reporters during a crime scene investigation at Cyber 1 Building, South Jakarta, Friday, December 3.

However, this is only based on his observations when he visited the location of the Cyber 1 Building.

"This is only visible to the eye because the results of the crime scene analysis determine the information," he said.

After the fire that occurred on Thursday, December 2, the Head of the Resort Police said that the only visible residue of the current condition was smoke residue.

"So there was no fire in the room, but there was one room where the cable panel was indeed on fire. But the other work room was not in a burnt condition, but full of smoke residue," he said.

He also could not confirm the activities of the three victims when the fire occurred in the building.

"It's still in the process of being investigated," he said.
