DENPASAR - The National Police will optimize the tightening according to the rules applied to PPKM level 3 for Christmas-New Year.

The Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, said that the National Police followed the instructions of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 62 of 2021 regarding the Prevention and Control of COVID-19 at Christmas in 2021 and New Year in 2022.

"Everything is implemented by Level 3 regulations (PPKM), and the National Police are preparing for it and also holding Pos Yan (Service Posts) and implementing PPKM optimization. homecoming travelers, the PPKM Command Post will also be maximized," said Inspector General Dedi in Badung, Bali, Friday, December 3.

The PPKM level 3 Christmas-New Year service posts are placed at mobility points, namely toll roads, ports and airports.

"That's in order to check points for people who will travel," he added.

Meanwhile, people who will travel during the Christmas-New Year holidays are required to have an in and out letter (SKM) and show proof that they have been vaccinated.

"Those are ways to mitigate COVID-19. Yes (there is a tightening). We refer to the instructions from the Minister of Home Affairs, that PPKM must really be re-optimized, the National Police must hold Pos Yan as check points, as well as vaccination booths," explained Inspector General Dedi.

The National Police reminded that all regulations in the Ministry of Home Affairs related to PPKM level 3 Christmas-New Year must be obeyed. Crowds and fireworks on New Year's Eve are prohibited.

"In accordance with the instructions of the Minister of Home Affairs, all celebrations that involve large numbers of people are prohibited. This is to avoid the occurrence of new clusters. Of course, any violations committed by the community will be carried out by legal action. the safety of all Indonesian people," said Inspector General Dedi.
