The Results Of The Survey For The 2024 Presidential Election Are Not Yet Clear, Ridwan Kamil Remembers The Fight In The Bandung City Elections

JAKARTA - The name of the Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil always appears in many surveys regarding the 2024 Presidential Election. But in terms of ranking, it is still far from the top five. But it did not discourage Ridwan Kamil.

In several surveys, the name Ridwan Kamil has not been able to speak much when compared to Prabowo Subianto, Anies Baswedan to Ganjar Pranowo who are never far from the top three. Even when compared to Sandiaga Uno and Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, Ridwan Kamil is still 'tired'.

Ridwan Kamil has the answer to this question. For him the survey should not be considered as the final result.

"That's just today's perception," he said at the "Fisipol Leadership Forum: Road to 2024" event at Fisipol, Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Yogyakarta as seen on YouTube, Friday, December 3.

For example, Ridwan Kamil, who has become famous since he became the mayor of Bandung, told how he won a battle that made his name known to the public. At that time Ridwan Kamil only pocketed six percent in the survey.

"If I believed the survey, I would not participate. In the end, I won 45 percent on voting day against seven other pairs," he said.

"So the survey with the final result is not identical because there is political work that has not been calculated by the survey. The survey only calculates the mood of today's residents," explained Ridwan Kamil.

"For example, there is a survey where only 12 percent of the polls are cast in the gubernatorial election, my competitor has increased from 12 to 29 percent every day. It means that from 3 days there is political territorial work that the survey cannot read. So today's survey does not necessarily reflect the final results," he said.
