Deputy Governor Of DKI Ensures Government Data In Cyber Mampang Building Is Safe

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria ensured that the government's data located in the Cyber Mampang building, South Jakarta, was in a safe condition.

This was confirmed by Riza after the second floor of the cyber building caught fire this afternoon.

"Alhamdulillah, there is no government data on the second floor. Indeed, in this building there is government data, but thank God it was not burned," said Riza at the scene, quoted by Antara, Thursday, December 2.

Riza did not specify what data was stored in the building. He did not specify which agencies stored the data in the building.

But what is certain, for this incident, his party will conduct an evaluation related to occupational health facilities in the building.

The results of the evaluation are expected to be a lesson for all building managers in DKI to provide proper safety facilities.

"We will examine what is the cause, hopefully in the future we will take steps," said Riza.

Previously, the fire started when sparks appeared in the server room on the second floor of the Cyber Building at around 12.00 WIB.

The spark created a puff of smoke, causing panic among employees in the building. Officers came to the location at around 12.41 WIB and immediately extinguished the fire on the second floor.

Officers also evacuated three victims who were trapped on the second floor of the building. One victim with the initials SF died on the spot, while MRK was unconscious. However, when he was treated at the hospital, MRK's life could not be saved.

"The 18-year-old died at the scene, the other died when he was taken to the Mampang Hospital," said Head of Public Relations of the South Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkamart) Mulat Wijayanto.

One more victim was declared safe and is still under medical treatment.
