24 Detainees Escaped From LPKA Muara Bulian, Batanghari Police Chief And His Men Are Examined By Propam

JAKARTA - The Batanghari Police Chief, AKBP Heru Ekwanto and his members have been questioned by the Jambi Police's Profession and Security Division (Bid Propam) regarding the escape of 24 police detainees at the Muara Bulian Children's Special Guidance Institute (LPKA) Batanghari Regency.

"I have ordered the Head of the Propam Division to check the Batanghari Police Chief AKBP Heru Ekwanto at the Jambi Regional Police Propam," said Jambi Police Chief Inspector General A Rachmad Wibowo in Jambi, Antara, Thursday, December 2.

The Regional Police Chief said that the Jambi Police's Propam Division was examining the Batanghari Police Chief and other personnel in the aftermath of the escape of the 24 police detainees from the Muara Bulian LPKA.

"We are currently processing this case, we are also processing the Police Chief at the Propam Bid," said Albertus Rachmad Wiibowo.

Asked whether to enter the Ethics Council? The Jambi Regional Police Chief replied that he did not know and would not necessarily enter the code of ethics trial because until now it is still under investigation

"It's not necessarily still in the process of being investigated," he said.

For information, the Head of Public Relations of the Jambi Police, Kombes Pol. Mulia Priyanto, said some time ago, the team from the Propam Bid of the Jambi Police had asked for information from 10 Batanghari Police personnel and the investigation is still ongoing.

So far, of the 24 prisoners who have escaped, 19 have been arrested, while five others are still being sought.
