Police Propam Intervene In Bintaro Toll Exit Shooting Case, Look For Elements Of Ethical Violation

JAKARTA - The Profession and Security Division (Propam) of the Metro Jaya Police and the National Police intervened to handle the shooting case at the Bintaro toll exit. The perpetrator in this case is a police officer with the initials Ipda OS.

Head of Propam Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Bhirawa Braja Paksa said his party's involvement was to investigate whether there were elements of ethical violations.

"We are synergizing with the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Polda Metro Jaya to determine whether there is a disciplinary violation or a violation of the code of ethics," said Bhirawa to reporters, Tuesday, November 30.

In the process of handling so far, it is still in the stage of collecting evidence. Because, in determining the elements of the violation must be in accordance with the facts.

"We can't go into details, but we have to really find out the legal facts there, whether there are violations of discipline and code of ethics. Are there any procedures that have been violated in the possession of weapons," said Bhirawa.

In the process of handling it, continued Bhirawa, his party also cooperated with Internal Security (Paminal) within the Police Environment Division of the Police Headquarters Propam Division. However, the provisional results have not been confirmed yet.

"We will convey the results to the General Criminal Investigation Directorate," said Bhirawa.

Previously, there was a shooting at the Bintaro Toll Exit, South Jakarta, on Friday, November 26 at around 19:00 WIB. Two people were victims in the incident.

One shooting victim died after previously undergoing intensive treatment at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital. While one other victim is still undergoing treatment.

It was later discovered that the shooter was a member of the Polda Metro Jaya with the initials Ipda OS who served in the Directorate of Traffic.
