Children At The Orphanage For Victims Of Obscenity And Persecution In Malang Have Improved, Police Prepare To Submit Case Files

MALANG - The Malang City Police, East Java, moved quickly to handle cases of sexual harassment and abuse against youth at an orphanage in Malang, East Java. Currently, the police are preparing to transfer the case file to the Malang City Kejari.

Previously, the police had named 7 suspects in this case. Meanwhile, the victim who is currently being treated at UPT PPSPA East Java in Batu City, is in good condition.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for the Malang City Police, Kompol Tinton Yudha Riambodo, said that the victim was now able to provide information which would later be included in the report of the investigation.

"Thank God his condition has improved. Social Minister Risma has also visited the victim and her mother,” said Tinton, Tuesday, November 30.

The police are coordinating with the Malang City Attorney's Office for the process of delegating case files. Currently, the case file is still in the process of checking the completeness of the file.

"Our plan is to file for phase one first. We ask that it be corrected first, later if there is a shortage, we will immediately complete it as soon as possible," he continued.

Tinton said the elements of violence and persecution in the case were strong enough to ensnare the perpetrators. The case can then immediately proceed to the prosecution process.

"We also have enough witnesses, I can't even count. I think these elements are sufficient and can proceed to the prosecution process immediately," he concluded.
