Deputy Governor Riza Relieved, 212 Reunion Moves To Sentul Area Mosque

JAKARTA - The 212 reunion has been turned into an annual event held at the Az Zikra Mosque, Sentul, Bogor Regency. Receiving this information, the Deputy Governor (Wagub) of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria, appreciated.

"There is a big mosque there, a large place, so I think this is a very good policy decision," Riza told reporters at City Hall, Monday, November 29 night.

The move of the 212 reunion to West Java could reduce crowds in Jakarta. According to Riza, the decision is very good because it does not force an action to take place in the middle of Jakarta.

"This is the advantage of fellow ulama, alumni of 212 who respond to the wishes of alumni to gather, but also take very good and very wise decisions, not carried out in the middle of a busy city, not disturbing public order," he said.

Previously, the organizers planned to hold this annual agenda in the Monas area, Central Jakarta. However, the Deputy Governor of DKI has not accepted the wish of the Reunion 212 committee to hold an event at Monas because the location is still closed.

The move of the 212 reunion to the Az Zikra Mosque, Sentul, said Riza, could reduce the presence of intruders.

"In Islamic boarding schools, in mosques, God willing, it will be safe, peaceful, and will surely get the pleasure of Allah," said Riza.
