SOLO - The Surakarta City Government, Central Java, has begun to socialize the plan for implementing the third level of community activity restrictions (PPKM) in the period of Christmas 2021 and New Year's 2022.

The head of the Surakarta City Satpol PP Arif Darmawan said that the socialization had been carried out to regional apparatus organizations (OPD) within the Surakarta City Government.

"We are preparing for PPKM level three. We have started to disseminate it to a number of related OPDs," he said in Solo, quoted by Antara, Monday, November 29.

In addition, he said, socialization will also be carried out to general recreation and entertainment business actors (URHU).

"We are socializing, prokes is faster, jogo tonggo is strengthened. Tourism is for square off, modern shops, modern markets as well. The most emphasized thing is that starting at 21.00 WIB, all must be locked down," he said.

For restrictions on residents' activities outside the home, it is planned to be carried out on December 24, 2021 - January 2, 2022. In addition, business actors are also required to close business operations starting at 21.00 WIB.

Meanwhile, his party will also reactivate judicial operations at least twice a day. However, his party will avoid sanctions for violators of health protocols.

"We consider the public to be ignorant, not refusing. Meanwhile, to anticipate the crowd, we will prepare a swab (swab test) on the spot," he said.

Recently, said Arif Darmawan, more and more people have neglected to apply health protocols, especially the use of masks. In fact, his party noted that more than 50 percent of the residents were ignorant of the implementation of the prokes.

Previously, the Mayor of Surakarta, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, would still wait for directions from the central government regarding the level three PPKM rules, including those related to the operation of tourist attractions.

"Wait a minute, if it is possible, it will be opened with restrictions on visitor capacity, otherwise it will be closed," he said.
