Infiltration Well In Cilandak Is Damaged, Deputy Governor Riza Asks Residents To Report If They Find A Similar Case

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria asked residents to report if they found any infiltration wells or vertical drainage that were damaged.

This refers to complaints of damaged infiltration wells in Cilandak, South Jakarta, even though they have only been built for one month.

"Please report it to us immediately, it will be followed up soon. There are stages of procedure that must be passed," said Riza at the DKI DPRD Building, Central Jakarta, Monday, November 29.

Riza said that the construction of infiltration wells in the Capital City was carried out by contractors who were partners with the DKI Provincial Government, according to the results of the auction.

In principle, Riza said the DKI Provincial Government together with the DKI DPRD would continue to oversee the construction work which was financed from the DKI Regional Budget.

"So if there is work carried out by the provincial government that is carried out by the contractor as the executor, whatever the work is that is not in accordance with the provisions, with specifications, with regulations, DPRD friends will also carry out monitoring and supervision," he explained.

It was previously known that comic Soleh Solihun complained about the vertical drainage digging being carried out by the Natural Resources Service on Jalan Intan on Friday, November 26, 2021. He stated this on his Twitter account, @solehsolihun.

Soleh said that the vertical drainage work on Jalan Intan was only carried out a month ago. Turns out, the cover was broken. He views that the drainage work on Jalan Intan is a danger to passing motorists.

"Dear @DinasSDAJakarta, this is a vertical drainage dig on Jalan Diamond, it's not even a month old, it's already destroyed and even has holes. It's a danger to motorists," Soleh tweeted.

Until finally, the DKI SDA Office replaced the vertical drainage cover that Soleh Solihun complained about. The head of the DKI SDA Agency said the cover had been replaced with a material that is more resistant to heavy loads such as motorized vehicles.

Yusmada also explained that the installation of damaged vertical drainage covers is the responsibility of vendors or companies that are partners with the DKI Provincial Government in the work.

"Currently, the vertical drainage work is still under construction, which is the responsibility of the vendor/implementing partner concerned. The vertical drainage cover on Jalan Intan which was damaged is a temporary closure," said Yusmada on Sunday, November 28.
