JAKARTA - Black smoke billows above the Wiyoto Wiyono Toll Road, near the Kebon Nanas toll gate, Cipinang Cempedak Village, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta. The puff of smoke came from the burning of a white Suzuki XL7 car numbered B 2683 KZF.

The burning of the four-wheeled vehicle had caused a traffic jam on the Wiyoto Wiyono toll road. The flames emitted thick black smoke that continued to billow into the air.

"Yes, that's right, the cause of the fire was due to an electrical short in the car," said Head of the Operations Section (Kasiop) of the East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Gatot Sulaeman, to reporters, Monday, November 29.

The fire was extinguished around 10.30 WIB. The fire was extinguished using two fire engines with 10 firefighters.

It was later discovered that the car belonged to a man named Hidayatulah. As a result of the fire, the victim suffered losses of up to Rp. 250 million.

"The fire started when the engine system indicator flashed in the burning car. Suddenly the fire came out of the hood of the car and spread throughout the body of the car," he said.

Luckily there were no casualties in this fire incident. As a result of this incident, the traffic flow on the Wiyoto Wiyono toll road from Cawang to Tanjung Priok was stopped. Then the traffic flow gradually returned to normal after the car was extinguished and evacuated.
