1 Member Of Pancasila Youth Becomes Suspect Of Police Persecution

JAKARTA - A member of the Pancasila Youth Community Organization (Ormas) has become a suspect in the alleged abuse case against AKBP Dermawan Karosekali, during a demonstration at the DPR Building, Thursday, November 25.

"(One) has been named a suspect," said the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E. Zulpan when confirmed, Friday, November 26.

Zulpan said cases of abuse against police officers were still being developed. Thus, the number of suspects in the assault case will continue to increase.

Investigators, he said, are still gathering evidence and statements from witnesses. "It's only a matter of how he (the suspect) will explain if he explains that a friend of his has beaten him," said Zulpan.

Meanwhile, in the case of carrying a sharp weapon (sajam) during a demonstration that ended in chaos, the police have named 15 members of Pemuda Pancasila (PP).

"15 (PP members are suspects) carrying machetes," said Zulpan.

The Pancasila Youth on Thursday, November 25 demonstrated a member of the DPR Commission II, Junimart Girsang. They urged Junimart to apologize.

However, the action led to riots. Even one member of the police was allegedly molested by PP. Police arrested 21 people in a riot that ended in chaos.

The results of the examination, 15 made suspects. They became suspects because they were found to be carrying sharp weapons.

In fact, the police also found two bullets. Thus, development was carried out. Police will investigate the owner and the origin of the two bullets.
