Saudi Arabian Citizen Who Flushed His Wife With Hard Water To Death, Also Involved In Human Trafficking

JAKARTA - Abdul Latief (21), the perpetrator of pouring hard water on his wife, Sarah (21), is threatened with multiple layers of articles. In addition to persecuting Sarah to death in Cianjur, the citizen from Saudi Arabia is also suspected of being a promoter of the departure of migrant workers from several areas in West Java. The allegation leads to the crime of human trafficking.

Cianjur Police Chief, AKBP Doni Hermawan, said that his party received a report that the perpetrator was a promoter of the departure of migrant workers from several areas in West Java. Even Abdul is also known as a supplier of agarwood to Saudi Arabia.

"The perpetrator has a business as a supplier of agarwood which has a fairly high selling value, but he is reported as a promoter of the departure of workers abroad. We are still investigating, if proven, there will be a new article that will be imposed", said Doni, quoted Thursday, November 25.

Abdul's allegation of human trafficking is because until now there is still a prohibition or moratorium on sending migrant workers to the Middle East, including to Saudi Arabia. After further investigation and proof, Doni continued, his party will impose articles on human trafficking against the perpetrators, who have been charged with this multi-layered article.

"We will continue to explore if proven, of course, there will be a new article that will be imposed on the perpetrator who is currently facing a life sentence for committing the premeditated murder of Sarah, who is his unregistered marriages wife", Doni explained.

Meanwhile, the report against the perpetrator as a promoter of migrant workers with the aim of Saudi Arabia was confirmed by the victim's stepfather, Salman (60). When he first visited his house, the perpetrator had asked his wife who is Sarah's biological mother to find prospective workers who would be sent to Saudi Arabia.

"He had asked my wife who is fluent in Arabic to find a woman who wanted to be a migrant worker. But at that time, my wife refused to find her. The perpetrator was even interested in my stepdaughter and asked for marriage", he said.

As reported, Abdul Latief was arrested at Soekarno-Hatta Airport when he was about to flee to his home country after molesting Sarah until she finally died of burns more than 90 percent due to being doused with hard water.
