MKD Asks Arteria Dahlan Not To Respond To Airport Police Calls: Presidential Permission Must Be There

JAKARTA - The Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police is scheduled to summon a member of Commission III of the DPR from the PDIP faction, Arteria Dahlan. Although finally canceled, Arteria's summons got the attention of the Honorary Court of the House of Representatives (MKD).

Deputy Chairperson of the MKD Habiburokhman said that he had held a leadership meeting to determine the MKD's response to the problems that befell Arteria Dahlan.

"But in substance, we can't say what it's like. In detail later, we clearly want to see," said Habiburokhman at the DPR Building, Wednesday, November 24.

According to him, the Soetta Airport Police should not be able to just summon Arteria, who is a member of the DPR. The summons - said the spokesman for the Gerindra Party - must seek permission from the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo.

"We read, for example, a statement from the Airport Police, which I think is inappropriate, will call Mr. Arteria. Even though it is clear that MD3 should be the understanding of the police, you can't just summon a member of the DPR, you have to get permission from the president," said a member of Commission III. the DPR.

The deputy chairman of the Gerindra Party said that the MKD had invited Arteria to accompany his mother to give information to the police. However, said Habiburokhman, not in the capacity of a member of the DPR.

"If Mr. Arteria wants to come in the context of accompanying his mother, that's fine. But if a member of the DPR is summoned without going through the president, that's a violation of the law. We will certainly determine the response if this happens," he explained.

The examination of Arteria Dahlan in the case of a feud with a woman who claimed to be the daughter of a three-star general, was decided to be temporarily postponed. The member of the DPR RI is hampered by work activities.

"Regarding today's plan, there will be clarification from Mr. Arteria Dahlan. So because he has activities (the examination is postponed)," said Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police Chief Kombes Edwin Hariandja.

So, with the delay, said Edwin, the examination was rescheduled. The plan, Arteria Dahlan will be questioned next week.

"The plan for next Friday or Saturday is planned for clarification from Mr. Arteria Dahlan," he said.

Meanwhile, the examination of the woman whose identity was later identified as Anggiat Pasaribu is still being carried out according to schedule. He will be questioned on Thursday, November 25.
