JAKARTA - Head of the Main Road Patrol (PJR) Jakarta - Cikampek (Japek), AKP Rikky Atmaja confirmed, three officers were found cutting the iron poles of the Indonesia China Fast Train (KCIC) project at kilometer 34 Cibatu, Bekasi Regency, West Java. .

"After checking, it turned out that they were not project workers, we finally secured them here," AKP Rikky told reporters, Tuesday, November 23.

From the confessions of the three suspects, they admitted that they wanted to steal by cutting iron.

"But before we caught the pole, the pole had not been cut. It was just the welding process, and it was caught red-handed by the trantib personnel," he said.

Based on the confessions of the three perpetrators, they managed to steal the iron for the high-speed train project in the first act. The thieves managed to steal 100 kilograms of iron.

"The perpetrator has done this the second time. The first time he managed to cut 1 quintal more iron," he said.

From the scene of the crime, welding equipment, gas cylinders, oxygen, hammer, crowbar and tarpaulin were found in the perpetrator's car. The equipment was used by the perpetrators when carrying out the theft.

In the action, the perpetrator used the modus operandi by covering the welding spark with a tarp to trick the patrol officers.

"If our syndicate has not been able to state that, maybe it will be investigated later in the Criminal Investigation Department. What is certain is their confession, he has done the second time and was caught red-handed," he said.

The perpetrators launched their actions from 04.00 WIB to 04.30 WIB. The three perpetrators are residents of Cibatu.

"From their confession, they operate in the Cibatu area. The case will be transferred to the Bekasi Regency Metro Police for further processing. We are currently coordinating with the Resort Police," he said.
