Clarification Of Allegations Of Defamation, Haris Azhar Explains The Material That Offends Luhut

JAKARTA - The reported case of alleged defamation, Haris Azhar, has completed the clarification process. During the examination, Haris Azhar explained about the video material that was the subject of the problem.

"We are just clarifying that the media, the medium (or) the identity of the channel account, is one. Second, what is the purpose of this identity for," said Haris Azhar to reporters, Monday, November 22.

"Then the third is related to the material, I explain as in the YouTube material it is related to the situation in Papua which also has a correlation with many things of wider public interest," he continued.

Regarding the content in question, Haris said it should be interpreted as criticism. Thus, the allegations presented in the video must be resolved.

"The next thing is that we actually want to say that what I discussed on YouTube is something that this country should be resolved by this republic by its rulers," said Haris.

Because the current conditions in Papua according to him are getting hotter. It was recorded that there were two attacks carried out by the Armed Criminal Group. Where, one of the attacks claimed the lives of members of the TNI.

"It is evident, yes, what we discussed in Papua is about business practices, about violence in Papua, the situation is getting worse at this time. Even the police are victims," said Haris.

Therefore, regardless of the case, Haris asked the government to seriously deal with the problems in Papua rather than busy criminalizing him for his statements.

"So, instead of punishing me, it is better for the authorities in this republic to immediately take care of Papua so that it is peaceful, so that there are no victims," said Haris.
