JAKARTA - Banten Police Public Relations Head AKBP Shinto Silitonga responded to the circulation of videos of students brandishing sharp weapons while riding motorbikes circulating on social media.

Based on the results of the investigation, the police said that the party had pocketed the identities of the students.

"According to the viral video display, Serang Police investigators have identified the identity of the owner of the Yamaha N-Max No. Pol A 6738 EN, driven by a student along with 2 other students, carried a knife (sharp weapon) and a belt. In addition, investigators have also obtained information about the identity of the owner of the Honda Scoopy vehicle No. Pol A 2925 SV driven by a student and one other student, carrying a sharp weapon of the type of sickle." Shinto explained through a short message received by VOI, Sunday, November 21, evening.

Previously, a video of a group of students carrying sharp weapons while driving circulated on Instagram social media since Friday, November 19 at around 11.00 WIB. Based on information, the action took place in the Ciruas area.

"One of the students in the video is known to be wearing a uniform that has similarities to the Pasundan Vocational School uniform, investigators have coordinated with the school. Information was obtained that the uniform in the viral video was the uniform of the Pasundan Vocational School for the 2018-2019 school year. The Banten Police and Serang Police are currently trying to arrest the young man in the viral video.” Shinto said.
