MANADO - The Tomohon Police Satreskrim Resmob Team, North Sulawesi, arrested three people suspected of hoarding diesel fuel.

"The three people who were arrested were respectively SW and RW residents of East Dumoga, Bolaang Mongondow, and KMT residents of East Tondano, Minahasa," said Head of Public Relations of the North Sulawesi Police, Grand Commissioner Jules Abraham Abast in Manado, as quoted by Antara, Sunday, November 21.

He said the disclosure of this case began when the team received information from the public about the existence of several vehicles that often hoard diesel fuel at a gas station in Tomohon City.

The Resmob team responded to the information by visiting the gas station and finding three perpetrators and three cars stockpiling diesel without a permit.

From the perpetrators, SW, one unit of a white dump truck, and 700 liters of diesel fuel were secured. Then from KMT, a black Toyota Innova car with 700 liters of diesel was secured, while from RW, a black Isuzu Panther car with 300 liters of diesel was secured.

"The total amount of diesel that was secured was approximately 1,700 liters," said Abast.

Abast said the hoarding mode for Toyota Innova cars and trucks is filling diesel fuel in tanks that have been modified and loaded in the vehicle. As for the Isuzu Panther, the diesel is stockpiled in several large jerry cans.
