At The PDIP Party School, Puan Re-invigorates The Mental Revolution Movement

JAKARTA - The PDI-P has made Trisakti a guide in the strategy and policy objectives of the struggle program in the political, economic, and cultural fields. Therefore, the conception that was first stated by Bung Karno in 1964 must be carried out by all party cadres.

"The party's mission of struggle in realizing a politically sovereign state, independent in the economy, and with a personality in culture must be carried out through party tasks carried out both through the party structure, party officials in the executive and legislative branches," said Puan.

This was conveyed by Puan in the 2021 PDI-P National Cadre Education Batch at the PDI-P Party School, Kebagusan, South Jakarta, Friday, November 19.

Puan explained that the tasks carried out by the party structure include internalizing and practicing Trisakti through party work programs.

"Such as helping the poor to get government programs, empowering MSMEs and organizing patriotic activities, regional culture, and so on," he said.

Meanwhile, continued Puan, the duties through party officials in the executive and legislative branches include implementing policies to protect the poor, policies to strengthen local commodities and policies that are inclusive without discriminating against differences based on ethnicity and religion.

"So on this occasion I ask all party officials to take Trisakti's direction as a guide in the party's struggle program and always have the spirit to make changes for the progress of the life of the nation and state," he said.

Besides Trisakti, Puan also spoke about the Mental Revolution Movement to PDI-P cadres.

"The Mental Revolution Movement is a joint movement of all components of the nation, the government, the community, the private sector to change the way of thinking, working and living so that they have more integrity, work ethic, and work together," said the former Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture.

In particular, Puan asked the PDI-P cadres to start making changes to their way of thinking, working, and living that could build integrity, work ethics, and the spirit of mutual cooperation.

"Start from yourself and become an environment created in party activities," he said.

Quoting Bung Karno, Puan explained, "The Mental Revolution is a movement to galvanize Indonesian people to become new people, white-hearted, steel-willed, passionate eagle eagles, fiery fire-spirited."

"Happy cadre. We look forward to the real movement of PDI-P cadres who come down to translate Trisakti, Nawacita, and Mental Revolution in the life of society, nation and state," he said.
