Tommy Soeharto's Camp Protests The Ministry Of Law And Human Rights Decree Muchdi Pr: A Disgrace To Democracy

JAKARTA - The Berkarya Party led by Muchdi Purwopranjono (Pr) admits that he has a decree (SK) endorsing management from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights. Tommy Soeharto's camp questioned the claims of the management decree.

"The leaking of this SK Menkum HAM, if it is true, will be a 'disgrace. democracy 'in this government. On what basis (SK)? It is clear that the Munaslub is illegitimate, illegal and violates party rules, ”Priyo Budi Santoso, Secretary General of Berkarya, led VOI, Thursday, August 6.

The emergence of claims by the Muchdi Pr camp was followed up by a DPP plenary meeting chaired directly by Tommy Soeharto. Priyo emphasized that the Munaslub which decided Muchdi Pr to become a chairman of Berkarya was illegitimate.

"So if it is true that the Decree of the Menkumham, it will be odd and makes no sense. Is it because of Pak Harto's son that the Berkarya Party, which politically still smells like kencur, should be sidelined? Even though we have never been against the government. We support it in our way, "he said.

In addition, in the plenary meeting, Tommy Soeharto, according to Priyo, decided to submit a letter of clarification to the Minister of Law and Human Rights. If Muchdi Pr's management decree is issued, then Tommy's camp will file a legal action.

"We have the right to file a TUN (State Administration) and criminal lawsuit against related parties," said Priyo.

Previously, the Muchdi Pr camp stated that the Ministry of Law and Human Rights issued a decree on July 30, 2020 concerning the ratification of the Change of the Work Party's AD / ART and a decree on the change in the composition of the Central Executive Council (DPP).

"Changes are the General Chairperson from Hutomo Mandala Putra to Muchdi Purwopranjono, Secretary General from Priyo Budi Santoso returning to Badaruddin Andi Picunang and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, namely Hutomo Mandala Putra (Tommy Soeharto)," said Secretary General Berkarya Badaruddin Andi Picunang in a written statement.

Badaruddin emphasized that there is no dualism in the party leadership. According to him, the new management as a result of the Munaslub will embrace all parties to improve and grow the party.
