The Prosecutor's Office Immediately Tries The Land Mafia Case With The Victim's Mother, Dino Patti Djalal

JAKARATA - The South Jakarta District Attorney's Office (Kejari Jaksel) will immediately try a case of alleged land fraud with the suspect Mustopa alias Typhoon which resulted in losses to the mother of former Deputy Foreign Minister Dino Patti Djalal, Zurni Hasyim Djalal of around Rp. 20 billion.

"Furthermore, in accordance with the provisions of the law, it will immediately be transferred to the South Jakarta District Court," said Head of the South Jakarta Attorney's Office for Intel, Odit Megonondo in a written statement quoted by Antara, Thursday, November 18.

The delegation of the case was based on the police handing over the files and evidence to the South Jakarta District Attorney.

Odit said Mustopa alias Typhoon, who worked with other suspects, was suspected of having committed a criminal act of fraud which resulted in Zurni Hasyim Djalal's loss of around Rp. 20 billion.

The land mafia syndicate is suspected of having cheated regarding the ownership of a 780 square meter land with its address at Jalan Kemang Barat Number 117 RT 08/004 Bangka Village, Mampang District.

For his actions, Mustopa was charged with Article 378 juncto 55 paragraph 1, Article 372, Article 263 paragraph 2 and Article 266 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code with a maximum prison sentence of seven years.

There was also a report on the fraud case against Zurni that was received on November 11, 2020. Zurni Hasyim Djalal admitted that the property in Kemang, South Jakarta, changed hands without his knowledge.

Zurni's property is indeed in the name of Yusmisnawita, who is Zurni's family.

However, ownership of this property changed hands from Yusmisnawita to a buyer with the initials SH who used a number of documents in the form of an ID card, photocopy of family card, photocopy of marriage book, and fake NPWP.

Then, Yusmisnawita wanted to sell the house for Rp. 19.5 billion to someone with the initials RS, which in the buying and selling process involved a Yusmisnawita confidant named Ali Topan.

After reaching an agreement, the hospital then borrowed house and building certificates in Kemang to check their authenticity at the State Land Agency (BPN).

However, on the day the original certificate was lent, a sale and purchase transaction took place from the hospital to SH, which was signed by a person pretending to be Yurmisnawita.
