Gunungkidul DIY No Additional COVID-19 Cases In The Last 4 Days

GUNUNGKIDUL - Gunungkidul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region in the last four days has not experienced any additional cases of COVID-19. The cumulative number of coronavirus infection cases in the area remained at 17,922, according to data from the local Health Service.

"Since Friday, November 12 until today, the daily addition of COVID-19 in Gunungkidul has been zero or zero cases", said Head of the Gunungkidul Health Service, Dewi Irawaty, quoted by Antara, Monday, November 15.

Dewi said there are now five people with COVID-19 in Gunung Kidul Regency and all of them are in self-isolation.

"There are currently no hospitalized ones", she said.

Wonosari Hospital Director, Heru Sulistyowati, also said that currently there are no COVID-19 patients undergoing treatment at the Regional Public Hospital.

"So far there are two suspected patients. There are no confirmed COVID-19 patients", said Heru.

Dewi said that the transmission of COVID-19 in Gunungkidul had decreased thanks to the joint efforts of the government and the community.

"You could say the people of Gunungkidul are very cooperative in handling, the negative stigma about COVID-19 is also not too pronounced", she said.

She reminded residents not to be careless and remain disciplined in carrying out health protocols after cases of COVID-19 transmission subsided.

The district government has also emphasized that it will continue to actively carry out efforts to prevent and control the transmission of COVID-19.

"We make sure the handling on the health side is not slack even though the current (COVID-19 case) is sloping", she said.
