Birthday Food Poisoning, Police Have Not Received Report From Victim

JAKARTA - Metro Penjaringan Police Chief Kompol Rinaldo Aser said his party had not received any reports from the victim's parents who experienced nausea and vomiting due to eating food at a birthday party.

"There is no police report, please feel free to report later (victims) (to the Penjaringan Police). No one has reported so far," he said when contacted by VOI, Monday, November 15.

Although they have not received a report, the Penjaringan Police have conducted an investigation regarding information about residents suspected of having food poisoning.

"We have checked those who have a celebration, those who make food and parents of children who experience nausea and vomiting. We have checked," he said.

The investigation carried out by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Penjaringan Police, said the Police Chief was an effort to pick up the ball from the existing problems.

"This is purely us who picked up the ball last night, as soon as we received information there were children who experienced nausea and vomiting after eating food from a birthday party. No one from the victim made a report," he said.

Although an investigation has been carried out on related parties, the police have not been able to determine the suspect from the alleged food poisoning incident.

"No one has reported it so far, we have just carried out an investigation on our own basis. Not based on a report. Currently it is still an investigation. Please feel free if anyone wants to report," he said.

Previously, it was reported that as many as 16 children in RT 19/17 Block D, Penjaringan Sub-district, Penjaringan, North Jakarta were undergoing treatment at clinics and other hospitals, suspected of being poisoned after eating food for a resident's birthday.

Tarso, Head of RT 19 said, based on his records, currently there are 16 children who are still being treated at clinics and hospitals after eating dishes from residents whose children's 4th birthday on Sunday, November 14, yesterday.

"A total of 16 people. Especially for small children, there are 3 years, 5 years, including their mothers, there are those who already have two children, they are also affected," Tarso told reporters.

Of the 16 who are still undergoing treatment, he continued, 5 of them are being treated at Duta Indah Hospital and 11 others at the Marlina Clinic.
