Asking KPK To Call First Before OTT, Banyumas Regent Achmad Husein: What I Say Is Out Of The Box

JAKARTA - A video clip of the Regent of Banyumas, Central Java, Achmad Husein asking the KPK to summon the regional head before the viral arrest operation (OTT) has become a public spotlight. Achmad Husein's Instagram account was also invaded by netizens, aka netizens.

The statement that was questioned by netizens from the Regent of Banyumas Achmad Husein was:

'We are regional heads, we are all afraid and don't want to be OTT. So we ask the KPK, before our OTT is called first. If he changes later, then it's gone. But if they don't change, they will be arrested," he said.

Warganet also stormed Achmad Husein's latest upload. “Uwis Lur was being bullied as much as he was being bullied. Mengko bengi papae dadi ra sleep well, le turu," wrote one netizen.

The regent of Banyumas immediately replied to this message, "I'm tahajjud, it's not that I can't sleep."

Apparently the Regent of Banyumas Achmad Husein replied to many netizens' comments because of his statement regarding the request that the KPK summon the regional head before the OTT was held.

"Sir, when you want to OTT, say it first, you're the one who doesn't mind," wrote another account.

"It's time for me to say that this is out of the box," said the Regent of Banyumas.

There are also comments that 'tempt' the regent of Banyumas. "Afraid of being found out if it's corruption, sir," said the netizen including a laughing emoji.

"Not really," replied the Regent of Banyumas straightforwardly.

In addition, netizens also quipped about the leadership style of the Banyumas Regent Achmad Husein. "What model leader is this?" said the netizen also included a laughing emoji.

"The ngising cat stamp model," replied the Regent of Banyumas.

Banyumas Regent Achmad Husein's statement was also responded to by former KPK senior investigator Novel Baswedan.

Novel Baswedan said that OTT, which often drags state officials, is usually related to giving bribes. Therefore, the Banyumas Regent's request was deemed misguided.

"Bribery is in the Anti-Corruption Law called receiving a gift/promise. It means agreeing to accept (accepting a promise) it is already a completed crime. So (so) officers who want to OTT just have to see in the field whether the official is bribery," writes Novel on his Twitter account @nazaqistsha.

If the bribes are received, then the task force team at the KPK will only have to ensnare them in the OTT.

Novel considers that the Banyumas Regent's request was incorrect because if the silent operation was announced first, it would be the same as giving a leak.
