Intimate In A Hotel Room, 7 Couples From Husbands To Students Were Escorted By The Police

AMBON - The police detained as many as 14 people or seven couples who were not married during the Siwalima Community Disease Eradication Operation (Pekat) from a number of inns in Ambon City.

"The 10th day of Operation Concentration that we carried out was still targeting lodging. Seven couples were arrested because they were alone without a legal bond," said Pama Ditreskrimum Maluku Police AKP Jonathan Sutrisno, in Ambon, Antara, Monday, July 15.

He explained that the 14 men and women were detained from a number of inns and hotels, including the Suli Indah, Holiday, Gues House Casa Filice and Hotel Cemerlang in Ambon City.

Jonathan explained, the dozens of people were brought to the Maluku Police Headquarters after they were found to be not a married couple

"Those who have been detained include those who are students and some who are still married," he said.

The seven couples who were suspected of having misbehaved were then given guidance and warnings not to repeat their actions.

"We asked them to make a statement so that they would not repeat their actions in the future," he said.

He admitted that the Pekat operation was carried out with the aim of reducing the level of crimes that occurred to the point of disturbing the public.

"This aims to reduce the level of crime, especially immoral acts at certain inns or locations in Ambon which are the targets of operations so that the Kamtibmas situation is maintained," he concluded.
