JAKARTA - Asep Rinandi, the perpetrator of the motorcycle theft, did not move when he was caught by the Setiabudi Police on Minangkabau Street, Pasar Manggis Village, Setiabudi, South Jakarta. When arrested, the police found the suspect drunk.

"The perpetrator was still under the influence of alcohol, the perpetrator was still drunk," said Setiabudi Police Chief Kompol Beddy Suwendi, Monday, November 15.

The arrest of the perpetrator was made when he was driving his motorbike against the flow of traffic.

"At that time, Asep hit a Toyota Calya car driven by Aditya. With this incident, the drunk driver immediately ran away from his motorbike on the road," he said.

The action of the perpetrator was known to the Sabhara picket officer who was on patrol. The perpetrator was immediately chased and secured by Sabhara members.

During the search, the police confiscated the letter T key that the perpetrator had hidden from his trouser pocket.

The perpetrators and the evidence were taken to the Setiabudi Police Headquarters.

"Temporary examination, from the perpetrator's confession that he took the Yamaha Mio motorcycle in the Cikini area, Central Jakarta," he said.

The perpetrator is still under investigation by the Setiabudi Police. Meanwhile, the motorbike and the letter T key were confiscated as evidence of the proceeds of the crime. The case is still under investigation by the Setiabudi Police.
