JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) provides discounts on long-distance train ticket prices of up to 75%. This discount applies for 6-31 August 2020.
The Commercial Director of KAI, Maqin U. Norhadi, said that the discount is to welcome the 75th Independence Day of Indonesia on 17 August.
"This service is a manifestation of KAI's commitment to Indonesia. KAI provides attractive discounts and raffles for its customers to enliven the 75th Anniversary of RI," Maqin said on Wednesday, August 5.
Maqin said ticket discount promos are provided in limited quantities. Promos can be given while supplies last. Tickets can be ordered on the KAI Access app, the kai.id site, and all other official KAI ticket sales partners.
Customers who use the RI 75th Anniversary Promo Train on August 17 are entitled to take part in the raffle with a train ticket voucher prize. KAI provides 17 ticket vouchers on each of the RI 75th Anniversary Promo trains. It can be used to take executive class trains to all majors for free.
"These various attractive promos are aimed at providing improved services to customers. Through these promos, KAI hopes that public interest in train services will increase by continuing to implement strict health protocols," he explained.
In addition, Maqin reminded KAI users to provide a COVID-19 free certificate. Both based on the results of the rapid test and PCR before traveling.
"For the areas that don't have a COVID-19 test facility, they may use an influenza-symptom-free certificate, issued by a hospital doctor or puskesmas. These letters are valid for 14 days.
