Hasto PDIP Surprised, Gerindra Has Joined Coalition But Fadli Zon Always Criticizes Government

JAKARTA - Secretary General of the PDI-P Hasto Kristiyanto said he was surprised by the attitude of the Deputy Chairperson of the Gerindra Party, Fadli Zon.

Hasto said that currently Gerindra has joined the government coalition. However, Fadli still continues to criticize the government of President Joko Widodo-Ma'ruf Amin.

"Mr. Fadli Zon from a political perspective, the PDI-P's records always seem to be at odds with the government of President Jokowi-KH Maruf Amin. Meanwhile, the Gerindra Party has also become part of the government," Hasto said in his statement, Saturday, November 13.

In fact, Hasto continued, Jokowi and PDIP Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri have a fairly good relationship with Gerindra Chair Prabowo Subianto, who also serves as Minister of Defense.

"The relationship between Mrs. Megawati Soekarnoputri and President Jokowi with Pak Prabowo is also very good. Likewise, the PDI-P and Gerindra are also going well, respecting each other as fellow parties in the government," said Hasto.

Hasto admitted that his party did not want to interfere in Gerindra's internal affairs. But he is sure that Gerindra will respond to Fadli Zon's attitude which always judges the government.

"As a party that also has discipline, the Gerindra Party will certainly take a stand on Pak Fadli Zon's statement that is different from his party's political stance. Although this is once again the internal authority of the Gerindra Party and we do not intend to intervene," he explained.

Furthermore, Hasto also responded to criticism from Fadli Zon to Jokowi who inaugurated the Mandalika Circuit in West Nusa Tenggara Province, while at the same time the Province of West Kalimantan was still hit by floods.

In his Twitter account, fadlizon, Fadli asked when Jokowi would visit Sintang Regency, West Kalimantan.

"It's amazing, sir. Congratulations on the inauguration of the Mandalika Circuit. When are you going to Sintang, the flood hasn't subsided in 3 weeks," tweeted Fadli.

Hasto also replied to Fadli's satire with satire. Hasto considers that the member of Commission I of the DPR RI has not done anything to help residents who are being hit by a disaster.

"Lazarus, the chairman of the PDI-P DPD and at the same time the chairman of Commission V of the DPR RI, has been directly involved in helping the people. Meanwhile, Mr. Fadli Zon has only given criticism without any concrete actions," he said.
