Causes 15 People Including Mosque Imam Injured During Friday Prayers, Taliban Arrests 3 Bombers

JAKARTA - Three suspects in the mosque bombing attack in Nangarhar Province, Eastern Afghanistan on Friday, November 12, were arrested.

This was conveyed by Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid via Twitter, quoted from Xinhua via Antara, Saturday, November 13.

"The suspect was detained several hours after the attack. They are still being interrogated," wrote Zabihullah Mujahid.

An improvised bomb placed inside a mosque exploded during Friday prayers in the Spin Ghar district of Nangarhar. In that incident 15 people were injured, including the imam of the mosque.

So far no group has claimed responsibility for the incident.

The mountainous province has been the site of a series of bomb attacks acknowledged by the local Islamic State affiliate in recent months.
