JAKARTA - One meter high flood inundated the Pela Mampang area, Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta due to heavy rains that hit DKI Jakarta, Friday, November 12 afternoon.

Observations at the location on Jalan Bangka XI Ujung No. 65 RT 06 RW 010 Pela Mampang, Mampang Prapatan, residents' transportation access was completely paralyzed due to the height of the inundation that reached more than one meter.

"The flooding has started at 15.30 WIB, this is actually normal. Every year there will be floods, the rain has started to subside. The height may reach more than one meter," said one resident, Ronal when met at the location, quoted by Antara, Friday. night.

Ronal admitted that residents affected by the flood had provided ropes as a means to get through the flood.

"We have anticipated using a mine, because motorbikes and others cannot pass. We can't go through this, we only use a rope to hold it," said the 47-year-old man.

The UPK officer for the Water Agency of the Mampang Environment Service, Prapatan Kaslim M, said that the floods not only submerged the Bangka XI Ujung area, but also hit the Warung Buncit area, Pasar Jagal, Kebalen 7 and the Pondok Karya housing complex. with variations in inundation from 80-100 centimeters (cm).

"It's uncertain sometimes two meters, the highest is about two meters. That's from Kali, yes. In the yard of the house, it's about 80-100 cm more or less," he said.

Until now, as many as four UPK officers from the Water Agency are still on standby and cleaning up the debris carried by the flood currents.
