KALSEL - The Juai District Police, Balangan Regency, South Kalimantan has attracted residents in their area to participate in the COVID-19 vaccination by providing a lottery with a prize of one motorbike.

Balangan Police Chief AKBP Zaenal Arifin said, specifically in Juai District, vaccination was quite difficult, many residents were reluctant to be vaccinated for various reasons.

So, he said, the Kapolsek and members of the Juai Police Sector made a creative breakthrough, by giving a motorcycle lottery prize for residents who came to the vaccination booth prepared by the Juai Police.

"The effort was quite successful, finally many residents came and were ready to be vaccinated against COVID-19," he said in Paringin, Antara, Thursday, November 11.

According to the Chief of Police, currently the Polres together with the Regency Government and the TNI are struggling to achieve the 70 percent vaccination target by the end of December, as an effort to create herd immunity for the people of Balangan Regency.

He also gave his appreciation to the Juai Police for the program being carried out to attract people's interest in vaccinating.

Balangan Regent Abdul Hadi, said that at the end of December 2021, the Balangan Regency COVID-19 Task Force targets the achievement of vaccinations of up to 70 percent, so that the acceleration of vaccination in villages continues to be boosted.

"We are very grateful to all residents who have carried out vaccinations, residents' participation in carrying out vaccines is not only for their own interests, but for the interests of all other members of the community," said Abdul Hadi.

He reminded that residents must always be patient and disciplined with Prokes, at least, up to 95 percent of the people have been vaccinated so that mutual immunity is formed.

In addition to vaccines, he said, residents must also be able to maintain a good diet and nutritional intake, as well as physical activities that are balanced with adequate rest.
