Police Arrest Perpetrators Of Pedophilia Cases In Batang With Dozens Of Children Victims

BATANG - The Batang, Central Java (Central Java) Resort Police (Polres) revealed allegations of sexual deviation cases allegedly committed by FWR (33) to 30 minors (pedophiles) while at the same time naming the perpetrators as suspects.

"However, the current facts are that only four victims of pedophilia cases have been identified," said Batang Police Chief Mochammad Irwan Susanto during a press conference at the Batang Police Headquarters, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, November 10.

According to him, currently, the police are still investigating the case and hope that residents who are victims of pedophilia will report it to the police.

"Residents who are victims of the perpetrators can report to the Protection of Women and Children (PPA) Unit of the Batang Polres Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) or the nearest police station. There is also a mode that the perpetrators use is to lure a sum of money to the victim, who is on average 12 years old," continued Irwan.

The police chief said that from the results of the information, the perpetrator had done the act several times, from one year to the last two years.

"As for the latter, this case was revealed when the perpetrator committed pedophilia in a teak plantation hut," added the Police Chief.

The suspect FWR was charged with Indonesian Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection, which carries a penalty of 15 years in prison, and Article 292 of the Criminal Code, which carries a penalty of 15 years in prison.
