Legitimate! President Jokowi Determines These 4 Figures To Be National Heroes

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has officially conferred the title of national hero and honors to four national figures. The title was given to coincide with Hero's Day which is commemorated today or Wednesday, November 10.

From the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube show, the awarding ceremony for national figures began at around 10.00 WIB at the State Palace in Jakarta.

The event began with the entry of President Jokowi accompanied by Vice President Ma'ruf Amin into the room. Meanwhile, the invitees and their families were already inside.

It was seen that all participants in this activity implemented strict health protocols to prevent the transmission of COVID-19. They seem to maintain and discipline to wear masks.

After President Jokowi entered the room, Presidential Military Secretary Marsda Tonny Harjono read out Presidential Decrees (Keppres) Numbers 109 and 110 Tk. 2021 regarding the Awarding of the National Hero and Service Star Titles.

"To award the title of national hero and honorary star of service to those whose names are in the attachment to this Decree as an appreciation for their services in accordance with the provisions of special conditions in order to obtain the title of national hero and the honorary mark of service star as regulated in the law," the statement reads. excerpts of the Presidential Decree read by Marsda Tonny as quoted from the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube, Wednesday, November 10.

The four figures who were given the title of national hero were Kunciututu, a figure from Central Sulawesi, Sultan Aji Muhammad Idris, a figure from East Kalimantan, Usmar Ismail, a figure from DKI Jakarta, and Raden Aria Wangsakara, a figure from Banten.

Next, there are other names who also received honors on the same occasion. They are I Ketut Suryanegara who is a doctor at Sanglah Hospital, Denpasar; Sucilia Indah who is a nurse at Dr Sitanala Hospital, Tangerang.

The two names are said to represent 221 other recipients who have died to receive the Pratama Jasa Bintang honor.

Furthermore, a mark of honor was also given to Emia Lina Lasia Caroline who is a midwife at the Pesanggrahan Health Center, Jakarta. He represented the other 76 recipients each awarded the Nararia Merit Star.

After reading the Presidential Decree, the event continued with a prayer reading led by the Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas and closed with congratulation to the families of the four national heroes and representatives of the families receiving the service stars.
