JAKARTA - Gibran Rakabuming Raka's political steps are getting stronger. The official support of the Gerindra Party in the Solo Pilkada strengthens political energy to lock in the chance of victory in the Solo Pilkada.

Gerindra finally officially took on the son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). Despite his young age, Gerindra believes that Gibran is able to make a breakthrough in bureaucratic affairs in the city that had been led by his father in two terms.

"I submitted 10 (letters) recommendations from regencies / cities, including one of them candidates for mayor of Solo, Mas Gibran," said Chairman of the Central Java Regional Council of Gerindra, Abdul Wachid, contacted by VOI, Monday, August 3 evening.

The search for the challenger to Gibran can be said to be a complicated affair. PKS, which openly searches for candidates, still has to explore a coalition with other political parties to realize its political hopes.
