The COVID-19 Sleman Condolence Cluster That Grows To SMK 1 Sedayu Has Been Controlled

SLEMAN - The Regent of Sleman, Yogyakarta Special Region, Kustini Sri Purnomo, confirmed that the COVID-19 takziah cluster in the Sedayu area, Bantul Regency some time ago was under control.

"Yesterday I asked the Health Service to move immediately. Now everything is under control," said Kustini Sri Purnomo in Sleman, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, November 9.

According to him, the case started with takziah activities which later developed into SMK 1 Sedayu. From the results of tracing carried out on several students from Sleman, it grew to 69 people who were later confirmed positive for COVID-19.

"Of the 69, the tracing was followed up again, the results were negative. Then it was continued with the exit tests to 75 positive ones. And all of them were OTG (people without symptoms)," he said.

He said all the patients who were confirmed positive had self-isolated to prevent transmission.

"Some of us have asked for isomanism and some have been isolated in an integrated manner at the Sleman Hajj Dormitory," he said.

"We quite regret that there is still a fairly massive transmission after the previous positive cases of COVID-19 in Sleman decreased," he said.

He also asked the public not to be stubborn and negligent, especially when participating in activities that involve large numbers of people.

"I always say to be vigilant. The public should not 'cheat'. Be it at a ceremony or celebration and others. Don't let it be because we sympathize, it makes the PPKM level in Sleman rise again," he said.
