KUDUS - The number of residents of Kudus Regency, Central Java, who have not recorded electronic identity cards (KTP) so far is 10,227 people spread across nine sub-districts.

"The average number of residents who have not recorded an electronic ID card in each sub-district in Kudus Regency is between 833 people and 1,803 people," said the Secretary of the Population and Civil Registration Office of Kudus Putut Winarno in Kudus, reported by Antara, Tuesday, November 9.

Thus, he said, in each sub-district the number of residents who recorded was above 97 percent.

Overall, the number of residents who have recorded as of November 8, 2021 is 633,105 people from the number of people who are required to have an ID card as many as 643,332 people.

Putut Winarno said the number of residents in the local area was recorded at 866,548 people spread over nine sub-districts, namely Jati, Kaliwungu, Kota, Undaan, Bae, Mejobo, Jekulo, Gebog, and Dawe sub-districts.

"The number of residents who had not recorded at first was indeed a lot, now it is gradually decreasing to 3,310 people because services are getting easier," he said.

Because cases of COVID-19 transmission in this area began to decline, he continued, the face-to-face electronic ID card recording service was reopened after previously being closed to prevent transmission of the corona virus.

In order to make it easier for the community, said Putut Winarno, recording is not only done at the Kudus Capilduk Office, but also in the sub-district area. In fact, residents can choose the nearest sub-district office. The Population and Civil Registry Office of Kudus also picks up the ball by operating a recording team that brings cars and uses two-wheeled vehicles.
